At Little TheraPeas, we’re big on providing clear, simple information to make the funding process as seamless as possible for you. We offer various options to help you access the therapy your child, teen, or adult needs.
NDIS
We are an NDIS registered provider and accept NDIS funding for eligible participants.
For NDIA-managed participants, we claim services directly through the NDIS portal on your behalf, so you do not need to manage invoices or payments.
For plan-managed participants, we bill your plan manager directly.
If you’re self-managing, you pay at your appointment and use the invoice to claim from the NDIS to reimburse you.
Self-Funding
If you are self-funding your therapy sessions, payment will be required at the time of the appointment.
Medicare
You may be able to receive a Medicare rebate for occupational therapy or speech therapy if your GP has provided you with a GP Management Plan (GPMP) and Team Care Arrangements (TCA) referral. Medicare and your GP determine your eligibility and the number of sessions available for rebate.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples may also be eligible for Medicare-funded allied health services under the Indigenous Allied Health program with a GP referral.
Children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (or another eligible complex neurodevelopmental disorder) may be eligible for Medicare-funded early intervention sessions with a referral from a paediatrician or psychiatrist.
Rebecca Lockyer is a registered Medicare mental health occupational therapist and can provide sessions under a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan. Please note this applies to Rebecca only and not other members of our team.
Our services are privately billed, and payment is required at the time of your appointment. You can claim any eligible Medicare rebate afterward through Medicare or the Medicare app.
Private Health Insurance
Private health insurance may cover some of the costs of your therapy sessions. Please check with your provider for specifics on coverage and rebates available. Be mindful that you cannot use private health insurance and a Medicare plan for the same appointment.
Payment Process
Once your session is complete, we will collect the payment. If you are using funding options such as Medicare, NDIS, or private health insurance, it is your responsibility to ensure you are fully reimbursed. We’ll help guide you through the process, but the responsibility of managing the funds remains with you.
